date format unified across all GUI

Please correct date format nonsense across GUI. On my two years working ZM-1.30.0 and new designed GUI in ZM-1.32.3 and also current GIT the date display is the same. The only possible date format set is in a monitor configuration, there I set it up to my preference (Europe format). ZM - live.png 2....

Re: Event time format in feed view

This cosmetic issue had a very long history (probably from ZM version 0.0.1). But for no american users it is VERY annoying.  I'm European and correct date format is 20.12.2018 for today But nobody pay attention and try to solve it by adding a variable Date_format in a zoneminder configur...

Re: ZM hardware video accelerated

Hardware video acceleration on ZoneMinder (zoneminder as of >= 1.32.2): The answer from developers: Video manipulation is controlled by ffmpeg. So the answer is: if ffmpeg is compiled with HW acceleration in my distribution then zoneminder is HW accelerated :D else zoneminder is NOT HW accelerated :...

Re: zmc cpu usage with monitor and h264 passthrough

russell_i_brown you are a genious! Thank you so much. The exact one I need, with a small change. I would like to low resolution stream in "modect" trigger event recording by high stream (h264 passthrough) in "none" mode. Would you be so nice to change your script to do the above? And for the develop...

Re: zmc cpu usage with monitor and h264 passthrough

H! post: skidd » Fri Aug 24, 2018 2:48 pm This should be the right feature of Zoneminder. Was also surprised, it's not. All modern IP cameras stream at least two streams with a reason. The most logical use of them is to minimize CPU and GPU usage by this scenario, I also use: 1. Low res (VGA) stream...

Re: Layout messed up after 1.31.44 update

Hi muggi! Sorry for a late reply, have'nt noticed your posts and no e-mails about them. The catch is in your zoneminder.conf Alias /zoneminder/cache "@ZM_CACHEDIR@" I think it's wrong. I had the same issue: wrong path in config file, working GUI, log errors, or right path in config file but GUI not ...

Re: Layout messed up after 1.31.44 update

I had the same issue. After skin was changed in recent ZM, developers introduced folder /zm/cache. It must have permissions that allow R/W to Apache - Apache user and Group. I use Slackware and have a user/group apache/apache. I belive Mint use www-data:www-data for that. So you have to: chown -R ww...

Re: Layout messed up after 1.31.44 update

Hi muggi! Find the Apache config file consisting the following line near beginning: <VirtualHost *:80> Then follow this https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/blob/master/misc/apache.conf.in Note the line 12, and add lines 13 - 26 to this file! After saving file, restart Apache. The path in Alias ...

Re: H264 passtrough "ghosting/smearing"

Hi! Yes, I80jas is right. As in a manual, DO NOT set frame rate in ZM, should be empty. Instead set it up in camera own settings. Once I forget that at set up a test system and spent days to debug not working system. By the way, iconnor why ZM have this settings, as they mess up ZM and its user? It ...

Re: no h264 passthrough written, images captured

Hi Issac ! Thank you for a reply. I've compiled ZM again, GIT source from today, last one 0d75586 from you. Attached is compressed zmc_m1.log, if you are willing to review it. I can not found a clear pointing to a cause of problem. And I discovered, as I installed a new package, that GIT source from...

Re: Layout messed up after 1.31.44 update

Thank you again knight-of-ni.

Both variants work.
The new skins are really nice. The only complain from me is poor visibility of menus and status at lower contrast - high environment light on monitor.
See my last screenshot above - Grey and blue letters on black background.

Re: Layout messed up after 1.31.44 update

Thank you again knight-of-ni! You suggested a -DCMAKE_CACHEDIR in build script. In a link above you stated: Oh yes, lots of things will affect packagers. There is now a web cache folder. You need to specify its location during build with the cmake flag -DZM_CACHEDIR What of the above is needed, or b...

Re: Layout messed up after 1.31.44 update

Thank you knight-of-ni! :D :D -DZM_CACHEDIR was the key. Changes in Apache configuration I followed earlier. So WEB interface works now. Are there any other changes related to upgrade from 1.31.1? Here I think on build & configure scripts. I'm not a package maintainer for Slackware, but would like t...
