I thought in the past that I was able to re-arrange the order of the different monitors in Console display; that no longer appears to be the case.
I somehow corrupted my system so bad when I upgraded from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04, I decided to start all over from scratch; changing my entire system from the traditional file system to installing the root system on an NVMe SSD in ZFS with periodic snapshots. I have four SATA drives setup in a raidz1 configuration for storing my video files; I actually had done that the first time but I started it all over again from scratch too. I've had several hiccups with getting ZoneMinder up and running, but I believe it is running mostly as it is supposed to now and I'm adding back each of my monitors, one at a time. For nearly all of my cameras, I create two monitors; a low-resolution stream and a high-resolution stream. I set up my low-resolution streams to function as triggers for the high-resolution streams to record. I noticed in the latest version, I can either have the next number be used for the "id" or I can override the "id". I figured I would never have more than 50 cameras at my house, so I had my high-resolution feeds start at 1 with that camera's low-resolution feed at 51. I initially started off with three high-resolution cameras before I created the low-resolution versions as "51", "52", and "53". I then added "4" and "54" but they are both being shown after monitor "53" with no way to move "4" after "3". I thought there was either a way to drag that monitor or click the "id" at the top of the column to re-order the monitors, but that does not appear to do anything. Is there any way to re-order the rows for the monitors?
On a different issue, I noticed that I had different monitors that claim to be offline but nothing is showing up in the logs and the monitor appears to be functioning as it is supposed to, despite being red and saying "offline". I noticed that this was also mentioned on a different thread in the section back in June. That issue still appears to be around.
Order of monitors in Console display
Re: Order of monitors in Console display
Thanks for that information... I had been hitting the sort button but it wasn't appearing to be doing anything. I didn't realize that it was a toggle mechanism.
