Dear Zoneminder Community,
I'm currently testing the Feature-h264-videostorage Branch with a D-Link DCS-933L on a Raspberry Pi 3, because I'd like record audio.
The h264 passthrough is working fine, as long as I don't activate the audio recording. Sometimes recording is not possible, playback of the files in the browser and after download is not possible (my player thinks the file is corrupted). I guess it's a compatibility issue, but feel free to comment on that. I've just started using Zoneminder, so I'm not sure. Could also be a problem with my configuration:
Settings:
Source Type: FFmpeg
Function: Nodect
Source Path: http://CAMERAIP/h264.flv (webcam login deactivated, the camera streams at 30fps with 512kbps)
Remote Method: RTP/Unicast
Video Writer: H264 Camera Passthrough
What do you think? Can you recommend a IP camera that is compatible with h264 passthrough and works with audio recording? Or is there another way to record audio with my D-Link DCS-993L and Zoneminder?
Best Regards,
Patrick

Re: h.264 Passthrough
It won't work because at this time we can't transcode the auto to AAC. The dcs-933l sends the audio in a raw format, which is ok for rtsp, but h264 can ONLY contain AAC.
I have been trying to get the transcoding working but so far no luck.

Re: h.264 Passthrough
Hi,
Thanks alot for your response. I'd like to buy a second camera anyway, could you recommend a camera that is suitable for audio recording at the moment?
Best regards,
Patrick
