It's not possible without a *huge* rewrite of the code, so don't expect it (ever).tibetfreedom wrote:Oh isn't that a feature it possibly should have ?curtishall wrote:Zoneminder does not support audiotibetfreedom wrote:I am looking for a good 8 channel card not too expensive with possibly Audio as well…

So you would recommend BlueCheery …?curtishall wrote:It's not possible without a *huge* rewrite of the code, so don't expect it (ever).tibetfreedom wrote:Oh isn't that a feature it possibly should have ?curtishall wrote: Zoneminder does not support audio
But that is not free is it ?
Also I want to run my own scripts on data such as automatically uploading images / video when an incident happens.

Our software is not free. We will have some API control in version 2 and you are welcome to add this idea here:So you would recommend BlueCheery …?

There is a feature request pending for 2.1 (http://improve.bluecherrydvr.com/projec ... er/roadmap) that would allow videos to be uploaded to a FTP server.
Thanks
UK 8 Chip 8 port 878A card offered here ZM forum links
There is a UK dealer of said cards right here:

These are the exact same cards that I have been using for years. The only difference is that I put heat sinks on the 8 video chips. They still get rather warm to the touch but running for 5-6 years. I did add another fan in the PC case just to cool this video card. It draws some power though because I tried it in a mITX setup with one PCI slot and a smaller PS of 120Watts and it would not boot up.
