Hi everyone.
On the last experience i had in a training about Sony cameras of the new series IPela, i have seen some functions that where very interesting.

A1) Ican draw a Line in the image and i can establish a direction sense, so if an object is moving in the opposite verse, an event will happen.

A2) I can count objects crossing this line

B1) Drawing a box i can establish if an object is token out from a place or a new object is losed like the classic example of the bag in the station or a car parking in a place where it can't.

I have seen that all these operation are made with a relative simple calculation of the mass and traiectorie of the motion, so it is an intelligent motion detection and not an object detection.

nice to meet you,

Good Luck[/img]

Thanks for the post. I have been thinking of putting in some limited features along those lines, specifically the 'detect when an object has gone' one. When they are done in cameras they are usually processed in hardware which is much quicker but that is not a reason not to try in ZM. I just need to find a bit of time to sit down and work out the algorithms that would work best.

Those posts were just 20 days ago, it will take some time before Phil will be able to work this into ZM in the order of months unfortunately and not days
