Razr V3 /Wurfl problems solved using opera

Post by electron »

It's been months since I tried to get the wurfl package setup properly using tips I found searching on here, but had recently downloaded opera browser to my cell phone & then had success. Thought I'd share this in case anyone else has problems with this phone. The built in browser let me login & I could see the info on how many monitors etc.. But wouldn't allow me to select a monitor to view. I kinda had given up thinking I didn't have the wurfl setup right. Turns out it has something to do with the browser, because the opera mini browser works just fine. I can select any montitor & view stills, can turn off mocord, etc.. FWIW I'm on cingular & this is just a plain V3, not a 'c' or 'i' version. I've got 3 different zoneminder pc's setup at diff locations & can log into any of them just fine now.

Hi Electron

I have been trying to get this to work all weekend and no dice.

So i have a few questions about your config.
1. What version of the xml file are you using
2. What do you have in your wurfl_patch.xml file.
2.1 What does your opera mini section looks like.
3. What version of the wurfl_php do you have.

Iam down to an error in my http_error log file witch says. :

Code: Select all

[client 80.232.117.161] PHP Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'zm_.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /home/httpd/subdomains/zoneminder/html/zm/zm.php on line 173, referer: http://zoneminder.dvos.dk/zm/index.php
Best Regards

That implies that it couldn't determine the format of the device, ie whether it would accept html or xhtml. One thing to look out for, which isn't always listed in the wurfl logs, is php running out of memory. So you may need to increase it in php.ini. I think this is mostly only on the first time it encounters a device, thereafter it is cached.

I will be changing the way this works a bit in the next version so you can just manually specify what format you want to use if you prefer.
