Went from 2+ fps to 20 (although that pegged the CPU so I backed it down to 7) and all I did was rebuild with the pcre stuff from pcre and pcre-devel

Do you mean that you simply rebuilt the ZM from source code, rather then installing ZM from a pre-built RPM?

All my zm RPM are built with pcre libs so those should be fine. This has been done from the begining
