1.36.33 on Fedora 39 - Event Image orientation

Post by Zotter »

Just completed a clean install on a system upgraded from Fedora 36 to 39 (via 38)

Everything looks to be working as expected, except for this one thing. In the monitor source, I've two cameras that are set to "Rotate Image" either Left or Right. Works great in thumbnail and live view. But, in events recorded the view window is correct, but the image itself is again rotated another 90 degrees further. Not only makes 'em quite small to see, but 'sideways'.

Here is an Imgur Image link to 3 images.
1 - Event Playback with correct viewport, but image rotated another 90 degrees
2 - Consol thumbnail, look'n good:
3 - Then live view, all is good

Any suggestions on where to look to correct this event view? These cameras, sadly, are el-cheapos that do not have the option of rotating image in camera.

FWIW - this all used to work all quite nicely on older versions of Zoneminder. Had to do the clean re-install after neglecting the base OS for too long. Was running on Fedora 36 and 40 is due to be released any week now.

Thanks for any constructive input that can be shared!
