I am using Zoneminder 1.36.33 and i have setup a ftp server where i upload all events. the filter is set to upload unarchived events and set them to archived once they are uploaded. and this works fine.
however, if i look at one event in zoneminder and the same event on the ftp server there is a difference - the video on the ftp is shorter, truncate somehow. and in most cases it cuts out important movement.
what can i do about this?

Problem solved, I'm writing here as others may have the same issue.
What was happening:
Filter was set to upload events that are not archived, running automatically (then archive). It seems that Zoneminder's filtering does not work only on finished events, but also on events that are being recorded. Therefore some events were truncated over FTP because they were being uploaded before finishing (not sure how often the filter is running, probably every minute?).
I modified the filter to upload events older and 5 minutes and all is fine now, i get full videos on ftp too.
