Hi all,

Working with 4 cards with the chips in attached photos.
lspci output:

Code: Select all

01:00.0 PCI bridge: PLX Technology, Inc. PEX8112 x1 Lane PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge (rev aa)
02:01.0 Multimedia video controller: Device 197d:f264 (rev 01)
04:00.0 PCI bridge: PLX Technology, Inc. PEX8112 x1 Lane PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge (rev aa)
05:01.0 Multimedia video controller: Device 197d:f264 (rev 01)
07:00.0 PCI bridge: PLX Technology, Inc. PEX8112 x1 Lane PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge (rev aa)
08:01.0 Multimedia video controller: Device 197d:f264 (rev 01)
0b:00.0 PCI bridge: PLX Technology, Inc. PEX8112 x1 Lane PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge (rev aa)
0c:01.0 Multimedia video controller: Device 197d:f264 (rev 01)
I compiled the TW2804 module for my kernel (6.1.52).
It is not loaded automatically on boot. After manually inserting it, /dev/video* devices are not created.

Any idea how I can manually configure devices creation to be able to use these cards?

Google isn't returning many results. I could try harder to figure it out but I would need access to your machine and also be paid for my time.

Might be easier to use something else.

I can consider paying for support, if there is a good chance to make the cards work and if it would not cost more than buying different hardware.
Since I'm new here, I'm still not allowed to pm. Can you make me an offer?

Any hint (I need to manage 32 analog cameras)?

$100 USD for an hour of time with your machine to try to figure it out. Then I would document it in the wiki etc.

The cyclone II is an fpga... not something we program. The MG1264B's are h264 encoders. I found some old code for a driver for them here: https://github.com/piratfm/crusher264.

Is there any other identifying information on this card? Can you provide full images of front and back instead of zoomed in.
