4K Webinterface configs - what a horror

Hi, I've now upgraded my server to Debian 12, hoping that a more up-to-date Debian installation can handle 4K processing. Except for the basic stream, 4K doesn't work well within a practical framework. During live streaming, I can zoom into the image. When I play back the recording (since it's only MJPEG working), I can't zoom in the recorded video anymore. If I switch to the original resolution in the recording window, everything hangs for 1-2 minutes, then the image comes in at the original resolution, and 1-2 minutes later, the next one.

How can I configure a 4K camera to work as quickly as conventional FHD cameras through the ZoneMinder web interface? What settings do I need to adjust and where?

4k is a big problem. And now we are seeing 16k cameras coming out.

In 1.37 series we have more options for reducing cpu/ram use. Lots more work to be done.

Surely nobody will do motion detection on 16k. That’s 15360 × 864 pixels. Over 130 megapixels.

Damn It ;/

Internal processing in ZM works not really bad, but Webinterface is unuseable with 4K Recording :/

So we have to wait for stable 1.37

16K  Next resolution stage : Hubble

EDIT : watching the 4K stream in auto skale mode works. zooming does not work useable, but when pause the record tooming into one single picture works ok.

Stable 1.37 will be 1.38.

Meanwhile, 1.37 is ok from my experience with 1.37.42.
