zm & Upgrade Debian v09->11 ?

Post by Centaurus17 »

Hi,

I was lazy :oops: ... on my Debian-samba-server I have still running zm v1.30.4 on Debian 09 (Stretch) ... it's time to upgrade this machine. But which way should I go(?):
  • deinstall zm 1.30.4 + upgrade Debian 09->10 und then 10->11 + new install zm v1.6 ?
  • Clean install Debian 11 (+ install zm v1.6)?
  • Waiting for summer, till Debian 12 is available? *)
*) For Debian 11 I found an installation guide (here). Would the same way work with debian 12? When will an installation guide (for beginners...) will be available (after launch from bookworm stable)?

And: when Debian 12 will become stable - would I have to reinstall zm in case of upgrading 11->12?

Please give me some hints which way I should go - thx.
