Same problem here. System is Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS, running on a Dell PowerEdge R520, 16 GB RAM, 10 TB storage, 48 cores. 24 cameras at D1 or more resolution, 20 fps, using at most 5 GB of RAM and recording. It was running 1.36.10. Upgraded to 1.36.31, and Zoneminder took all the memory, leaving the system unresponsive. Had to start in maintenance mode, disable zm and try to downgrade. Only could get to 1.34.26, I see the monitors but not recording. Need to get back to 1.36.10, but can't find how to. Seems that versions (1.36.10, 1.36.12, etc) are not available.

Просто на выделенный физический сервер вынести zm и прокинуть отдельную подсеть физическим кабелем витой пары. It's work!

Good morning. My question is how can I get back to 1.36.10 or 1.36.12 from 1.36.31? Thanks.

Usual method for me on Ubuntu would be locate the .deb file for it and then run dpkg to install it.

Rolled back to 1.36.26, and saw fewer zmc out of memory errors, but enough remain to be a problem. I changed my three 5 MP cameras from modect to monitor, and have not seen an out of memory error for almost 2 hours. Hopefully, this clue provides some direction.

You do not have enough power to do motion detection on a 5mp stream. It's that simple. There are lots of options for reducing the work load, many of which have already been discussed.

Probably the best best way to go is setup janus for live viewing, set the width and height in the source tab to something smaller like 720p.. The saved video will still be 5mp but the image will be scaled down for calculations.
