Release v1.36.23 kills streaming on Ubuntu

Post by AllenTuttle »

Just received the v1.36.23 update alert and allowed it on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS system.
Install seemed normal with no errors, I also checked that zmupdate was okay.
Unfortunately all rtsp cameras are now failing, I occasionally get a frame but it is quickly replaced with a black screen with a message in the center "Unable to stream"
Even the very old camera doing JPEG via HTTP will only get one frame then a "not connected" message.

Nothing showing in logs but 'sudo service zoneminder status' now shows many of the following 3 lines:
17:23:34 root : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/usr/share/zoneminder/www ; USER=www-data ; COMMAND=/usr/bin/zmdc.pl
17:23:34 pam_unix(sudo:session): session opened for user www-data by (uid=0)
17:23:34 pam_unix(sudo:session): session closed for user www-data

I too am having problems after upgrading from 1.36.20 to 1.36.23.

No issues with every version of 1.36 up to 1.36.20. Upgraded to 1.36.23 and now my cameras can't connect. I can post a log if that would help, but I suspect the .23 has issues that will be resolved soon (hopefully).
