What and how to Install for Object Detection?

I would like to use Zoneminder together with zmeventnotification for object detection. Unfortunately I can't find any current instructions in which order I have to install which programs.
Does anyone know of such instructions or can give me a brief overview of the order in which I must install what?
As operating system I would prefer Ubunutu 18.04 or 20.04.
