Montage Review Video Download failed

Post by Bjplms »

Hello everyone,
I have the following problem with my Zoneminder.
When I try to download a video about Montage Review which is longer than 10 minutes nothing happens except the website shows all the time that it is being created, in /var/tmp I see that the zip or tar folder is created and the size also approx. fits with what is stated on the website, but unfortunately there is no download.
It looks different if I only download 8 minutes, for example, this works immediately.
ZM runs in a Proxmox VM with 8 cores of Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2643 v3 @ 3.40GHz and 32 GB RAM on a Debian 11

If you need any more information, get in touch
thank you for your help

There was a recent fix that went into 1.36.15 that removed a timeout. It could be that issue is your problem. It just takes too long to generate the zip.

What version are you running? Update to 1.36.15 if you aren't there already.

Other possibilities involved running out of ram. Although if montage review is working that might not be it.

Check your logs.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have already updated to 1.36.15 and doubled the RAM from 16 to 32GB.
Unfortunately none of this was successful and the ZIP file is ready within a few seconds.

In den Logs ahbe cih nichts gefunden oder ich bin nicht fähig das zu finden

When I say running out of ram, I am talking about a php max memory setting which defaults to 128MB which is not a lot. I find for my systems 512Mb works better.

Edit /etc/php/phpversion/apache/php.ini and search for memory limit.

More importantly, check your apache2 logs. If it is the ram limit setting there will be an entry about it.

I expanded the php memory to 512mb at the beginning of my troubleshooting.

I had already looked in the apache2 log but found no errors, I also looked live when creating and found nothing
