I created a filter that has the following criteria:
cause = motion
Archive status = unarchived
then archive + email.

From the log i can see every motion event is archived but no email was sent.

However when I create a temporary filter to test email and run it by clicking execute it emails me correctly.

Also when I run the filter by sudo zmfilter.pl myEmailFilter it also emails me correctly.

what am I missing? Why zoneminder filter is not sending me emails?
BTW after running sudo zmfilter.pl myEmailFilter I'm stuck in perl? How do I exit properly?

My zoneminder is running in Raspbian Stretch Lite

No idea, however 1.30 is so old now... even if there was a fix, it won't be in the 1.30 series.

Update NOW to 1.34. Sorry for the yelling but seriously it needs to be done. Then we can address your problem.
