Wyze Cam not recording correct length segment

Post by Atoman03 » Thu Feb 13, 2020 3:32 pm

Hello, I am new to this and I have installed version 1.34.2 on Ubuntu Desktop 18.04.

I am just messing around a little with adding a Wyze Cam with the beta firmware of RTSP, but when I use H264 Passthrough to record audio 24/7. It doesn't record the correct length of segments. I am not sure why it doesn't work. Please help!

What is the correct length? Are the resulting files playable? How about turning on debug and checking the logs?

The correct length is 10 minutes and the files that are made are playable. I will have to figure out how to turn on debugging and where to get the logs.

So there is a setting under Options -> Config... EVENT_CLOSE_MODE... if it is something other than time you can get shorter events

Ok, it is set to idle but the logs are saying multiple things like:

Got empty memory map file size 0, is the zmc process for this monitor running?

and

'zma -m 2' exited abnormally, exit status 255

After I set the EVENT_CLOSE_MODE to time it is working for now.

It was working all night until this morning and it gives me these errors in the log:

Can't find process with command of 'zma -m 2'

Last analyse time for 2 Monitor-2 was zero.

Restarting capture daemon for Monitor-2, time since last capture 53 seconds (1581692146-1581692093)

And a couple times before the errors it would make a 5 minute video and then a 15 minute but it should be 10 minutes. This doesn't matter as much as the 1 minute videos though.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this I'm having a similar problem with a NEOS camera (which I believe is the same hardware) with DAFANG firmware.
