Watching events on Android Chrome

If I use Chrome to go to the console with my phone, I am able to select a camera and see the initial image. When I then click on an event the screen with the video controls loads but the event never plays. What should I be checking first?

An update: watching events on the home network has always worked but when I log in with my phone browser the log shows socket_sendto errors saying the file does not exist. Logging in remotely with a laptop browser works as well.
