Hello ZoneMinder community. It's nice to meet you.

This is my first time installing ZoneMinder of course, and i have run into a little problem.

I am running Linux Mint 17.2 off an external hard drive which is booted on my laptop. I have and tried my integrated webcam from my laptop and a USB Logitech c270 HD webcam which is stated in ZoneMinder wiki that it have been successfully tested.

Everything looks fine according to the here:

But.. When i select Monitor-21 (I've created a new instance of the webcam 21 times), it seems to not load the image or video.

I've tried many solutions such as:

viewtopic.php?p=63801
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=904877
https://major.io/2015/02/07/using-zonem ... 70-webcam/
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Webcam (TO TEST MY WEBCAM WITH CHEESE. IT WORKS!)

Anything else needed in terms of information on my part, please let me know.

Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance.

Check logs, normal case with missing image is socket_sendto error caused by issue with cgi-bin path in config vs apache. Search forum and you will find plenty of examples to fix it.
After that the magic /dev/video0 puts me out of the running to help further, I exclusively use IP cameras.

PS look at current release 1.28.1, I guess Mint can use Ubuntu PPA, so look at https://launchpad.net/~iconnor/+archive ... zoneminder

You may want to review these instructions:

My first guess is that you need to enable CGI
