I remember once finding a page that showed how to install zm on Centos with yum (yum install zoneminder) but I can't find it now. For centos 7 is there such a thing as yum install zoneminder? Is there a repo out there that has it?

update: I have installed zm several times on centos 6 machines using the source tarball and I was going to do the same on centos 7 but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't an easier way first....

See my reply to your other post regarding centos 7.

For Centos 6 these instructions work:

NOTE: I am in the middle of creating a zoneminder repo for rpm based distros. The advantage is a turn-key solution: enable the repo, yum install zoneminder, follow the README, and you are done. All dependencies are taken care of automatically. Currently supported distros are Fedora 20 & CentOS 6. I have tested it exactly once so I'm not ready to give out the site to everyone. However, if you are felling brave, pm me and I will give you instructions on how to be a ginnea pig. :-)

UPDATE: Repo instructions can now be found in the WiKi.
