zm/includes/functions.php on line 2465 err on OpenSuse 12.3

Hello

I'm new to ZoneMinder and want to give it a try for my cams.
Have installed rpm binary for opensuse 12.3 from liquid.de repos
(Cannot post link because new user )
When I try to visualize zm
the apache log contains the following error:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /data/www/htdocs/zm/includes/functions.php on line 2465
which is the end of the file
My php version is php5-5.3.17-3.4.1.x86_64

What did I miss?

I'm not entirely sure if this is the answer but I too had a similar problem with OpenSuse and I think the change I made which stopped this happening was to set short_open_tag = On in /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini. Be careful when you are editing the file as you will find two references to short_open_tag, the first of which is commented out and says default is On but later in the file there is a real entry which is by default Off.

Will try it later. I have now just installed ZoneMinder 1.26.4.9.1 (normal version) not ZoneMinder-MP version and this version will startup at least.
Now I try to configure my cams and test a little bit the prog...

You were right. This solved the problem for both version.
The version I thought it worked had the same problem...
Now starting up, but cams not working ...
