As far as I can tell, Zmodo is the illegitimate bastard child of Foscam, or perhaps the other way around. Most of their products look almost completely identical physically and so does their software. I just got a Zmodo camera to work using the Foscam setup information and I'm quite pleased so far. I was a bit unhappy since I forgot to research which cameras work and found out that the Zmodo didn't work as planned. This is my first setup and I didn't know how Zoneminder connected to cameras. After looking at the hardware compatibility list I saw Foscam and remembered the good reviews from it.

After it arrived, I logged into the cameras firmware and noticed that they're extremely identical and decided to try the Zmodo camera with the same settings after I got it to work with Zoneminder. Works like charm now.
