Updating 1.24.2 to 1.24.4 on Ubuntu 10.10 or Ubuntu 11.04?

Post by pete_c »

I currently have my Ubuntu 10.10 ZM 1.24.2 running fine with 8 analogue and 5 IP cameras. I've really not added much except some controls for the IP cameras and XAP.

I'm just curious about upgrading to 1.24.4 and have some questions about it.

- is there a simple 5 minute method to upgrade?
- would it be better to just build a new box with Ubuntu 11.04 / ZM 1.24.4? ( I have another box / 8 port analogue card)

I documented the Ubuntu 10.10 / ZM 1.24.2 build on another forum a few months back and actually did the build about 10 times such that I could document it.

Any recommendations?

Box #3 - AMD Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit server - Most current beta 1.28 - XX HD IP cams
Moved rest of analogue cams to Axis Servers and Grandstream cams.

Did a test install today using Ubuntu 11.04 and ZM 1.24.2 on a Shuttle with a Atom D510 CPU / 2Gb of memory.

No issues; ZM started right up.

Next the same with ZM 1.24.4 on same box.

Then on another box with an 8 port Video card.
