Hy

I'm using an MSI AE1900 & Ubuntu 9.10 which has an internal webcam.

With cheese for example I get a nice picture from /dev/video0 (BisonCam NB Pro).

I started with 320x240 as written in the WIKI.

How do I get to know which capture mode, device channel, format & palette do I have to use?? Just have a black screen...

well I found the answer:

zmu -d /dev/video0 -q -v

there you get parameters...

I also have the m1210 with gutsy installed. Everything working fine with just 2 glitches. Camera performance and card reader. For the camera you need to install the uvc driver. For this go to berlios.de and follow the instructions. Camorama will not work. Install Cheese or luvcview. Both work fine but don't expect to have the same quality and tuning options like on windows. Egika will work nicely with the camera.
