I have a phillips 8 channel card set up for CCTV capture (thanks to Phil). everything seems to be working ok but getting this message in the kernel log:

fileserver kernel: [26549.260336] tda9887 2-0043: i2c i/o error: rc == -5 (should be 4)

Googling around suggests that it is related to an audio chip which I do not have

Any suggestions on how to resolve it?

I have solved this, I just set the tuner=4 which stops the card trying to initialize the tuner chip
