Post by alib » Wed Sep 16, 2009 11:12 am

Dear forum,

I am trying to get the PVC300 Cisco ptz camera working with Zoneminder? I have got the video working fine, I am just having some real problems getting the camera controls working. Has anyone done this yet and indeed would anyone be able to help me or give me some pointers on how to go about this.

many thanks

Sorry I forgot to give some system information:

Zoneminder 1.24.1

Linux cctv0 2.6.30-1-amd64 #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux

If it's an IP cam, you can use wireshark to capture the correct syntax and use the axis control script as a model for the the cisco.

If this is a local camera, it's likely it uses one of the standard protocols of which most are already included.

Hi Alib, in case, there is a control script available for this camera that I just finished to tune. Check it out by searching tbe forum with pvc300 key word. Alain
