ZM4MS and HTTPS

Post by thetreed1 »

Has any been able to get this to work?

I have my setup working over HTTP, but I would like to switch it over to HTTPS. From the ZM Server side I do not see any requests coming into apache over SSL. I do see the HTTP requests. The following URL works in a browser (after accepting the certificate).

https://my_host_name/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=single&monitor=3&scale=100&maxfps=15&auth=aeb3290a47038a9df6b29b756d317f41&rand=1228659780

What am I missing to make it work with ZM4MS.

BTW I think this is a great peace of software. Thank you James.

TIA,
Tim

i think (never used https) you need to install the cert in ie.
Basically zm4ms uses proxy info etc and certs from ie.

It pulls the settings from ie as it uses built in http commands from ie. If you have a problem with ie you will have a problem with zm4ms.

If that dont work let me know and i will do some testing

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I think maybe .Net framework proplems ...

not sure but i doubt it.

have you only entered 1 monitor?

try duplicating that for all 4,
.
Also i have noticed issues when custom view 1 and 2 have no saved setup so just save 2 views in there.

Let me know how that goes

I think someone needs to trim their pictures down so folks are not spending half there time waiting for this page to load :evil:

I personally avoid threads with pictures like this.

Thank you cdbao :D
Actually now might be a bit to small :roll:
But certainly makes the page load much faster 8)
Might look for something in the middle or cropping just the important stuff.
For example the error window above is all that is useful all the pictures area is not as necessary. But it certainly still needs to be readable.

Just hate to see something get over looked because someone gets impatient waiting for the page. I know I do some times and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

to start with id put the refresh rates up at say 10000

then try and save the custom views to anything.

I have had reports of this a couple of times but never been able to track it down
