well on a 40 gig a fiar bit of it will probably be os. How much of the drive is os?

Approximately how much space is zoneminder operating system supposed to take up without any events in the database or archives. I have all the events cleared by using fast delete and all the trash emptied and i still have 24% of the disk space used up..i cant see how this is possible.

zm as an app is quite light.
However depending on your distro then you might have 4-8 gig used by the os
