I assume you used a packaged build. Different volunteers build those packages and some are kept more up to date than others. If there is no package later, you can try to look at who is doing them (should be accessible by tracking back to where the packages are kept) and asking, or your alternative is to build from sources. That's easy or hard depending on both the flavor of unix and how much you know about building and are willing to dig into the scripts. I found it took me about 2 days to work through all the issues in my flavor, but my impression is that the linux flavors can play a big role there.

Maybe some pi folks will show up and comment.

hi marco,

If you find a solution or a package thank you let me know , I am also interested in the version 1.28 on my PI 2 (raspbian) .

I tried compiling from source on Raspbian but I have too many error messages and I'm too noob to all understand and correct them.

see ya !

https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/wiki/Packages

And this is in the notes for debian:
Isaac Connor maintains an apt repo for Debian. These should work for i386,amd64 and armhf (raspberry pi) .Use the following line in your /etc/apt/sources.list
Also this thread for Fedora+Pi:

I no longer work on zmNinja, zmeventnotification, pyzm or mlapi. I may respond on occasion based on my available time/interest.
