If you are referring to HikVision IP cameras.

I have some Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I cameras, with firmware V5.1.6 build 140412, on the latest version of ZoneMinder without any issues.

Best Regards.

I just took delivery of two DS-2CD2032-I cameras and have them working. Had to turn the frame rate down to 8fps to keep the load manageable. The conversion to JPEG eats up CPU cycles and degrades image quality noticeably.

The cameras came with firmware 5.2.0 which has a default IP address of 192.0.0.x. I hooked them to a Windows machine and used their setup utility to set them for DHCP. The on-camera motion detection configuration, which you won't use if you're running ZM, requires a Windows machine and ActiveX, but everything else in the config page works in a normal browser on a non-Windows computer. The cams provide a secondary MJPEG stream which is useful for minimizing ZM's motion detection CPU load.
