ViBe ?

Anything you want added or changed in future versions of ZoneMinder? Post here and there's a chance it will get in! Search to make sure it hasn't already been requested.

Has anyone heard of ViBe? "ViBe - a powerful technique for background detection and subtraction in video sequences."

I am not a video expert but I can imagine that zoneminder's CPU requirements would be much lowered if it were able to make use of such a technique.

It doesn't appear to be open source, though they do provide a package for Windows (or Wine with Linux), and a C/C++ object for Linux.

I believe some one made mod to do something simmaler he removed background motion trees etc.
