Adding Password protection

Post by Sergio »

I'm almost done configuring zoneminder. I once had it (when someone else installed it) and I did notice one huge error. It did not require authentication to view the cameras.

I would like to set it up so that external connections require authentications, but I do not want internal connections to require authentication. Is this possible? How?

Why don't you go to Options (placed on index.php of ZM homepage) and activate user authentication?

I actually found something better than what I was looking for. I can create different user names with different controls. This suites me best of all. I want everyone to be able to see the front door on their screens, but I don't want users to have control over the camera settings. I also don't necessarily want them to be able to see all of the cameras.

Zoneminder looks pretty awesome so far!
