Minimum length motion detection event

I have configured motion detection for a camera, but I get many short events (less than 10 seconds) that are false positives (brightness changes, shadows from clouds passing, flashes from windows, etc.).
I have created a filter to remove these, but I would prefer to only store motion detection events that have lasted say at least 20 seconds. Is there a way to do this?

i think that's the only way, just set the filter to background and it will manage itself
