Got video on /dev/video0, blue screen on other inputs.

Post by castor »

Hi,

can anybody help me solve this problem?

I run zoneminder 1..22.3 with Kodicom 8800 capture board. I finally see streaming video on /dev/video0, but when I connect another monitor for ex: /dev/video1 I get blue screen with fps srolling at the bottom.

zmu -d /dev/video0 -q -v

The card was not correctly detected. I believe your card is 102 (8 times) but I may be wrong.

Does anyone know how to change card type in bttv module?

Switch from 171 to 102.

Add this to /etc/modprobe.d/options
It may work. If not, you will need to find out what your card needs.

Code: Select all

options i2c_algo_bit bit_test=1
options bttv gbuffers=16 radio=-1 tuner=4 card=102,102,102,102,102,102,102,102

Kodicom 8800 seems to be difficult to work with!!!

Post by castor »

I add these options above in /etc/modprobe.d/options and also try some others, they all seems to do the same thing. Got video on /dev/video0 as long as I don<t add another monitor. If I add /dev/video1, everything stop working.

zmu -d /dev/video0 -q -v:

Still the same problem!

Post by castor »

I try different capture board to see if I was doing something wrong. The best results I got came from the KODICOM 8800.

I still got video on /dev/video0 but the blue screen still remain on all other inputs.

I try many card configuration options. (102... - 171... - 105...)
Xawtv -hw scan returns me only 4 inputs while -zmu returns me input 0 to 7.

I'm confident that I'm not far from getting video on all inputs.

if anybody got an amazing idea please reply or contact me!

Thank you!
