maximum resolution

Post by captain_morgan »

i have a pv-183 caputre card... zmu says this:

Maximum Width: 768
Maximum Height: 480

however, whenever i attempt to set zm to this resolution, the channel goes red and it will only display at this resolution if set to greyscale. how can i make it get it's highest resoluton?

Check things like your shared memory allocation and your buffer sizes...

duuuuuh.... i'm a windows admin. i just started using linux, so you're going to have to hold my hand while we cross the street.... :) is there anything else that you should know before we start changing things like that?

does zm actually support resolutions of that scale w/o changing settings?

Buffer sizes are defined in ZoneMinder's configuration options page.

The shared memory issue is described in the Wiki here

Incidentally, 768x480 looks a bit like a wide-screen resolution. 640x480 would be more normal.
