Hi, I have some questins about network and camera hardware. I am very new to the concepts and could use some guidance. Know next to nothing about POE devices.
Installed:
Hardware is a Supermicro SYS-5018D-FN4T with 16 CPU and 64 GB RAM, running Proxmox
ZM v1.36.34 in a VM, Ubuntu server 22.04
Questions:
Thinking Amcrest POE cameras, such as IP8M-2496EW-V2
So would the cameras terminate at a POE switch, such as a Netgear managed switch GS308EP-100NAS? Then I'd wire that switch to my main switch so the cameras can be seen on my network?
Asking because I'm new to this technology, and would not like to make costly mistakes. Thank you.

Yeah that's basically it. POE is pretty straightforward.
