Control monitor function from CLI

Post by unicon »

I'm looking for a way to change a monitor function (None, Modect, Monitor ....) from the command line.

I found the Start/Stop method, but stopping a monitor switches the monitor completely off. I want to toggle the function from Modect to Monitor, depending on an external event.

Any ideas?

Have a look at zmu and see if that behaves in the way you want.

Thanx for the hint!

It's working a bit different from what I had in mind, but in the end it does what I finally was looking for - enabling/disabling alarms with an external trigger :D
