D-Link DCS-8635LH

Post by Jojje7 »

Hi.
Is a beginner with Zoneminder. I wonder if anyone has managed to get D-Link's camera DCS-8635LH in Zoneminder considering buying one.
Have searched online for it but failed to find anything.
Today uses D-Link DCS-8000LHV2 which works well.
Run Zoneminder v1.37.13.

Grateful for information.

It claims ONVIF, so it’s likely to work.

Yes, have seen that it is ONVIF.
But beginners as I am, I would love to hear if anyone has succeeded before I shop and how they have configured it.

Support for ONVIF Profile T lets you easily record video streams to your ONVIF compliant NVR, VMS or NAS system for centralized viewing or continuous, 24/7 recording. Not only that, but you can also use an ONVIF compliant device to control your camera’s setting without using the mydlink app.
This usually means it will work, if it's not physically broken.

From onvif profile T spec:
7.1.1 Device requirements
• Device shall authenticate HTTP requests using Digest authentication as described by the
Core Specification.
• Device shall authenticate RTSP requests using Digest authentication as described by the
Core Specification.
• Device shall authenticate RTSP requests tunneled over HTTP using Digest authentication
on the RTSP level as described by the Core Specification.
I have yet to see an rtsp camera that wouldn't work with ZM.
