what' wrong?

Post by hv0805 »

I have now running zm version 1.29 on a Pi3.
I'am installing a new pi4 with Zm version 1.34.10.

In attach the 2 configurations.
Both are set exact the same values but the new version is not working.
I have copied the settings from the working camera to the new version.
Below a part of the log file.

What can be wrong in this configuration.
I use a Foscam F19803P camera.
The small figure is the working version

I've got the same camera and it's working.

I attached screenshots with configs.

On the source path line where I darkened you have to write "username:password"

Thanks,
I have put the setting like yours (with my username password), but is still not showing an image.
Is there a way to test it another way?
I have tried in VLC and it is not working there also.
BUT, when i use the path "http://192.168.0.99:99/cgi-bin/CGIProxy ... &pwd=xxxxx&" in a browser, its working.

What do i missing?

See: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Foscam_FI9803EP for settings for your camera.

Also start with a lower resolution. Try half of the values you entered. Go back to VLC with the path rtsp://[LOGIN]:[PASSWORD]@10.0.0.11:88/videoMain and check the reported camera resolution

And your camera is a FI9803P not a F19803P

thanks,

I have already start from 0. It is a brand new installation of pi4 with nothing else installed. I see error messages on the console about Mysql ([HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) and i don't able to solve this problem, so i start from 0.
Perhaps i will reset my camera also because i cannot login to the setup screen from the camera.

May I recommend the Raspberry Pi Imager: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspbe ... g-utility/

I set up my Pi 3 yesterday with Ubuntu 20.04 64 bit version and Zoneminder 1.34.10
You really do not need to make any modifications to the Ubuntu install but I remove the cloud stuff and enable WIFI. Can provide instructions if needed. And do not use the Pi with a desktop!

Is there a problem with the website by Zoneminder or is it a problem with me?

It's WORKING

I found a PDF from Foscam with cgi scripts. Via this way i was able to find the usernames and password configured on the camera.
I enabled also rtsp and are now connected via rtsp.

I'am happy.
