Zoneminder is freezing/balking in Firefox

I have noticed that after a few clicks, Zoneminder stops working. It's not freezing, but for some reason it fails to follow any of the links I click.

For instance, if I hover over "Options" I can see the URL in the lower left. But when I click, instead of the URL changing, it remains the same as before after a page refresh.

I am also seeing that whereas a few weeks ago when Zoneminder was properly streaming the video (I still can't record it at all, sigh), and now it's only loading the page once or twice per minute...or failing to load it at all.

Anyone know what's causing this or how to solve it?

I should add, I'm using Firefox 70.0.1. In Chrome it appears to be working fine. So perhaps this is a browser weirdness? I didn't notice it until a few days ago, so perhaps it updated at that point. Is there some setting I can tweak? Some memory limit that needs to be expanded? Something like that?
