RTSP Purple Stream

Post by jannnfe »

Hey,
I am very happy with the new Zoneminder version and everything works great too. The only problem I have is that two cameras that stream over RTSP sometimes turn purple, as seen in the picture below. The only thing that helps is to restart Zoneminder.

I'm using this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Built-i ... 4c4dIx2ces cameras.

Another "problem" I have is this warning, which completely spammers my entire log. I do not know if it's related to that, but it also happens when you mouse over a thumbnail and the video from an event plays there.

Code: Select all

No sd in checkCommandQueue, comms not open?
Thanks :)

Try switching to TCP under Source in Monitor Settings.

Thanks for your reply.
Its not working. Seems the camera needs UDP :/
When I change to TCP the Stream won't show.
Thank you :)

I would go start checking for layer one issues aka bad/overloaded cables or switches. Your likely getting packet loss some ware along the line. Remember udp has NO error checking so this can happen with a bad link.

Also make sure you don't have some device in your connection acting as a hub check for duplex mismatches.
