ZoneMinder LiveCD v1.21.3 problems
ZoneMinder LiveCD v1.21.3 problems
I am hoping someone can advise on the problem I'm having running the livecd....
When booting up from cd, everything works fine till
Mounting loop image on /initrd/loopfs:
After a while and "Failing", this message comes up and i'm thrown into a command shell
unable to mount loop filesystems
dropping you to a limited shell
commands were:
losetup/dev/loop
PC is AMD K7 550
512MB ram
matrox video
Suse 9.3 professional installed on pc, but will move over to the version on the cd...if I can get it working.
I am very new to linux (only came over to try/use zoneminder) and would appreciate if anyone can help.
thanks in advance

Thanks for your help james, I tried what you said, but unfortunately it didn't make any difference. I did notice that I never put the full text on the previous message following the failure...

commands were:
losetup/dev/loop/0 init rd/cdrom/livecd.sqfs
mount -r -t squashfs /dev/loop/0 initrd/loopfs

Same problem with livecd 1.22.2.1
I'm seeing this same problem with a 1.22.2.1 cd that I've used many times on other systems.
This new system:
IBM P4 3ghz
512 ram
Intel 865G chipset graphics memory controller hub (MCH)
BlueCherry PV-149 capture card
I've tried an older version of the Livecd that boots up but the graphic corrupt right after the desktop starts to load. I've tried entering bootcodes to change the resolution that seem to change it but the graphics still fall apart and the system is unusable.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!

I've narrowed this down a bit.
I am able to boot the 1.21.3 version of the LiveCD and by using thar Ctrl Alt + keys, I can get a working desktop to come up. Now I'm trying to figure out why the most recent version is not working.
I see an "ERROR: Unable to mount Livecd" message and then a prompt.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!
