I tried searching and saw the last post on something OpenSolaris based was back on 2009. Has anyone tried installing it on SmartOS or any Illumos distro? Any pointers?
thanks
ZM on SmartOS or any Illumos distro?
Re: ZM on SmartOS or any Illumos distro?
So I got it to work on SmartOS through ubuntu LX. I will share my notes once I clean them up.
Is it possible to add an Illumos section to the wiki (not official, just user contributed)?
It would be nice to have an Illumos section (as opposed to having illumos entries spread as subtopics under other categories/distros).
thanks

Re: ZM on SmartOS or any Illumos distro?
We have had an open issue to add better Solaris support on our Github site for some time now:
https://github.com/ZoneMinder/ZoneMinder/issues/905
We certainly would like to add better support for Solaris, but time has been the issue.
There are several changes that need to be made, but they need to be done in a way that does not break zm for others.
