modect stopping after 30 secs on 1 channel of 2......

Got my system running (thanks to you guys!)
I am running 2 cameras at 352x288 on a generic 4 ch BT878 card.
I can view the cams in colour ok.
I now have a problem with Modect stopping after 30 secs on the 2nd channel. On the main console it starts ok initially at green, and if you look at the monitor image the "Force Alarm" text is in place. After a while (on the admin console) the modect goes orange and stops working, the force alarm is then missing from the monitor screen.

Where do I start looking please? ie where can I find the logs, I have looked in the /tmp directory, and nothing jumps out as a log to me.

I have now enabled zm_extra_debug. On level 1 Ill try to find something.

Anyone had similar?

Funnily I think I have found the problem here.

I was still logged in as admin on the host computer in the cellar. Since I logged out of this the problem has come away.

Can this happen with 2 users logged in as admin at the same time (even though one is inactive) ?

Two users at once should not make any difference, provided they are not both doing things at the same time. It sounds like zma is crashing, which should be recorded in a log somewhere. /tmp is the default place for most unless you have configured it to go somewhere else. Also check /var/log/messages.
