saved filters, there should be a warning

I wanted to run the saved filters using cron instead of the web interface.
this way i can set the time of day it's run.
I tested this by issuing the command /usr/bin/zmfiltet.pl -f PurgeWhenFull
it worked, deleting the amount of events listed in the PurgeWhenFull filter.

So, I set the time to run saved filters to 0, thinking that it would not run.
this deleted all of my 57,000
events from the database. soon to be deleted by zmaudit.pl

I think there should be some kind of warning in the options section for this setting.
This on VERS 1.23.3 I'd be willing to bet there is no warning for other versions.

Sucks that this nuked your events, but this is probably logical behavior. Entering undefined data and expecting 0 to mean something undocumented isn't sensible - although certainly no harm as a suggestion for a warning in future versions, should there be any.

BTW, I've deleted your duplicate post. Appreciate your wish to warn people, but spamming the forums isn't cool.

Ya, I wasn't trying to stomp my feet or be a jerk. But did think that people using vers 1.24 1.25.
may not ever see the warning.
By the way I do know that the way to do that would be to turn off running.
Saved filters.

Like I mentioned, was not mad,
just thought people should be
warned.
The info in those little pop ups is great. While searching the forums I couldn't find any info on running filters using cron. In
fact saw some mentions of I wish there was a way to do that. So I'll be posting my method of controlling filters.
in setups that need a to dictate when then PurgeWhenFull filter is run.
Its probably not mentioned much because its a nobrainer for some. But not in the face of all.
