Zoneminder only records 1 day at a time

Zoneminder stopped recording more than 1 day at a time! it only starts recording again WHEN I LOOK at the console screen.

Why?

Using zoneminder 1.22.3

I fixed it... turned out to be a permissions issue on some symlinked mounted media.
