Grainy images cause Recording

Post by tkalfaoglu »

My USB Webcam is (Philips) pretty grainy, especially when it's capturing areas that are black, or dark. I cannot seem to get ZM to ignore the grain, and it always stays in the ALERT mode and keeps recording. I tried changing its zone to something tiny, to a "low sensitivity" preset, and these did not help. Any ideas what I should try?

Thanks! -t

I had a similar problem, I helped alleviate it by increasing the filter height/width to 15 pixels (maximum values for those fields). You can also play with the minimum pixel threshold to get it to ignore minor differences from frame to frame.

I think, you can try this solution:

I have this problem too, but this` happens not frequently, so I ignore it:)
