Filters loop recording

Post by McBang »

Hello Zomeminders

I love this software, i have installed it maybe 50
Times to try and learn the features.

I have worked proffesionally with HIK Vision for many years, but that to easy - just buying a standard DVR, for me not a money issue, but at wish for self control.

In all other video systems it is standard with loop recording, deleting the oldest files, adding the newest recordings instead.

Here my problems start, i cannot make it work. When the disc is full, it stops recording, Records and delenes them a once, or delete everything.

Please could one friendly guy please tell me, how to setup the system for

30 days max saving.
Delete oldest in an never ending loop.

Please nevermind my setup my version is newest.

Do i need 2 filter or one

Save my day - anyone please

Yes, you need to add a filter
Give the filter a Name. I use Day_Purge
Archive Status Equal To Unarchived only
add a line with the +
and Start Date Less than or equal to -30 day
Sort by Start Date/Time Asc Limit to first 100 results only

Actions: Delete all matches
Options: Rub filter in background

Click Save

Hello

Thanks for the advise - but i dosent work, that erases all recording as soon as they are recorded.

I cannot be the only one battling this issue.

When i make a fresh install, do i need to do anything about filter, or does the 2 default suppose to do the trick.

How many filter do i need, and how should they be.

Anyone !!!

Start Date Less than or equal to -30 day
Make sure that's MINUS 30 days, not just "30". The minus means "30 days ago", the "less than or equal to" means older than that time.

You only need one filter to deal with "Purge When Old" -- you way want a second filter for "Purge When Full" to stop your disk filling up to more than, say, 95%.
