Image Blend
Can anyone explain the difference between Reference Image Blend and Alarm Reference Image Blend?

The first is used when there is no motion, the second when there IS motion.

Thanks. That makes sense.
One defines the reference image for entering into an alarm state and the other defines the reference image of exiting an alarm state.
i.e. To enter into alarm state, the condition 'Reference image - current image > some value' must be met
and
To exit out of an alarm state, the condition 'Alarm Reference image - current image < some value' must be met
That is why when the blending for alarm reference image blend is low the alarm will last forever because it takes a long time for the alarm reference image to converge to the current image.
Please correct me if my understanding is incorrect.
